  • Why do I have to pay postage on top of the beanie price when I order online?

As a charity, MHF’s single-minded goal is to raise as much money as possible for brain cancer research. To this end, we spend the least amount of money possible on administration and postage etc so more dollars go to where it’s needed - to the researchers striving for a cure. However, you can avoid paying postage by purchasing your beanies directly from one of our many stockists around the country. Click here to find one located near you.

  • Where can I purchase an MHF beanie?

We have a range of outlets across the country who kindly distribute our beanies including; Lowes Australia and selected IGA stores. Please check our list of stockists and their locations here, enter your postcode to find a stockist near you. Alternatively, you can order your beanies online here.

  • When should I host my "Beanie Day" fundraiser?

When you choose to hold your Beanie Day fundraiser is entirely up to you! Most Beanie days will be held throughout June and July, but choose a day or night that best suits you and your guest. We simply ask that the funds raised be banked by the end of August.

Our 2023 range go on sale from the 1st June, 2023 (but keep an eye on our online shop for a sneaky preview).

  • Q & A: Beanie Manufacturing / COVID-19

Do the beanies come from an ethical factory and where is the location:
As part of MHF’s supplier’s corporate governance policy, all factories the company deals with must hold all relevant certifications that demonstrate they are socially and ethically responsible and operate in accordance with strict Chinese Government legislation. Our 2022 beanies are manufactured in Vietnam.

Where is the material are sourced from:
The beanie factory is located in Guangzhou and is both BSCI and ISO9001 certified. The raw materials are produced in China and the beanies are manufactured in Vietnam.

How long can the COVID-19 virus survive on plastic/material/cardboard etc:
According to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the WHO, COVID-19 can only stay alive on surfaces for up to a few days so the risk of transmission through coming into contact with effected goods is deemed extremely unlikely, especially if the goods have been in transit for a number of weeks before they reach their destination. Please refer to the WHO and CDC websites for more information.

What are chances/percentage of getting the COVID-19 virus through beanie contact at the time they arrive in Australia and are ready for distribution by the MHF:
According to the CDC, COVID-19 is predominantly transmitted by coming into close contact with someone effected. There is no evidence to suggest the virus can be passed through food or from packaging imported from overseas. Please refer to the CDC website for further information - https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/faq.html#How-COVID-19-Spreads
