We are excited to announce that Round 12 of the NRL will be the Beanie Round! Channel Nine, the NRL, Fox League and the Mark Hughes Foundation have united, and want you to buy a Beanie for Brain Cancer during Round 12 - Thursday 24th May - Sunday 27th May, 2018.
The NRL Beanie for Brain Cancer Round was the 'brainchild' of Matt Callander, who sadly passed away from his battle with brain cancer in September 2017. The 2018 Beanie Round will be held in his honour, and we'd like to say a huge thank you to his family for continuing to be a driving force behind the Beanie Round and the MHF.
Brain cancer kills more children than any other disease, and is responsible for more deaths of people under 40 in Australia than any other cancer - yet it receives less than 5% of government cancer research funding. It’s time for change!
If you are heading to a game during Round 12, purchase a MHF beanie from the ground locations listed below or from a stockist near you, or wear your favourite beanie and show your support for the Mark Hughes Foundation’s Beanie for Brain Cancer.
If you can’t make it in store, you can also order your Mark Hughes Foundation Beanie from our online shop.
